Our creatives:

Anne Wright plays Iris Wang, the eccentric owner of the Happy Lucky Noodle Factory in “Future Memories”, her first engagement with the Ballroom Theatre Company. Anne is an accomplished actress. You can find out much more about Anne by purchasing a copy of the Programme at the performance.

Amelia White is based in Kingscliff NSW and has appeared in musicals and theatre. We are delighted to have her play Cecily in “Future Memories” in her first appearance for us. Your Programme at the show will tell you more about Amelia!

Bailey Sprecak is the talented chap who plays Ken, the awkward heir apparent to the Plumb Crazy Plumbing empire in “Future Memories”. He is a Drama and English teacher with many credits. He holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Southern Queensland, and his professional credits include roles in ‘The Prince and the Prostitute’ (Lindsay McGregor Productions, 2022), ‘Swan Lake’ (Australian Ballet/QPAC, 2023), and ‘Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes’ (Jally Entertainment, 2023 WA Tour/2024 Qld Tour). Bailey also performs as Captain Starlight with Starlight Children’s Foundation at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.

Emily Pollard has had an extensive career in theatre and music. She teaches Drama. In “Future Memories” she plays Tania, the mischievous assistant at The Love Café. Listing all her credits here would probably collapse this website so you’ll have to buy a Programme.

Brent Dunner is a seasoned performer who has performed for Ad Astra and Metro Arts in Brisbane. In his first appearance for Ballroom Theatre Company he plays the role of Alf, a match-maker and the proprietor of the Love Café in the premiere of “Future Memories’ His ability to transform from the stoic yet twisted character of Captain Cob, (A Godless Country, Short Film, 2021), to his passionate portrayal of Aussie football coach Laurie Holden in the live theatre production of The Club (Metro Arts, 2019) is what makes Brent so entertaining to watch. Brent graduated from The Actors Workshop with a Certificate IV in Film and Television Acting in 2009 and completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Film and Television) at JMC Academy in 2014, with his short film The Bubble Bandit winning Best Graduation Short. Acting professionally since 1996, Brent has worked across stage, film and television, most recently appearing in supporting roles on Black Snow (Stan, 2024), Rock Island Mysteries (Nickelodeon, 2024) and Good Cop, Bad Cop (Stan, 2024).

Lachlan Mills is a promising young actor who plays Mr Smith the debt collector and process server in “Future Memories”. Your Programme will tell you more about Lachlan.

Mark Egan plays Ian in “Future Memories”. He is a Brisbane actor, musician and aspiring cult leader. Mark Egan is returning to acting after a brief sojourn following his critically acclaimed performance as ‘precocious child’ in a 1972 episode of Australia’s Romper Room. In his time away, he has been honing his thespian talents by feigning interest during business meetings and memorising the active ingredients in several popular cough medicines. Mark can be seen from a distance.

Ingrid Suba is a wife, mother of a 2 year old and a primary school teacher. She has appeared in our previous productions “All at Sea” and “Relatives”. In “Future Memories” she plays Michelle, a very intense social worker looking for love and Mandy, a factory hand at the Happy Lucky Noodle factory run by Iris Wang.

Craig Jensen writes the crazy stuff we benevolently call “theatre”. His 2 Ph D’s – in German Literature and International Law -- do not seem to have helped him at all. He is said to be on good terms with the acerbic and unpredictable theatre critic Prof Otto Klaschwitz.
